Taste project is a conceptual dining event designed around a central theme.

In our first collaboration with triple base gallery, an art show, three lectures and a dinner were intertwined in a thematic narrative created to stimulate guests' minds and palates. Scale, constraint and growth were the pillars upholding the overall theme: think small.

Each table was designed to reflect one of those pillars. Guests seated at the constraint table were presented with a custom designed tablecloth printed with classic table manners while a 1951 etiquette video played on the background. Whereas constraint told you how to behave, growth lured you to create; a table runner made of lego boards invited guests to build what came to mind. On the last table, an oversized Luxo lamp challenged their perception of scale.

Matthew Passmore, co-founder of art and design collective Rebar spoke about the scale of his company's initiatives. Shoshana Berger, co-founder/editor of ReadyMade magazine discussed the constraints of starting a publication. Dina Pugh and Joyce Grimm, from Triple Base, shared their philosophy of growth.

Curious? We're all ears.
